In the last few post I have discussed various starting points and methods to find out where you are and now we can begin to cover what to do. As with doing work on anything, you need tools. However, one must first know what actions to take and what those actions involve before beginning any job. The first thing we must know before starting a job is how what you are working on operates. This is similar to reading the instructions before you put something together. I will now lay out some general fundamentals to work with.
#1. Everything in the universe is composed of energy.
Myself, everyone else, and everything is composed of the same "stuff". No matter what the form looks like, it's all made of protons, neutrons, and electrons. Science can be helpful in this case. As we know, energy can not be made or destroyed, it can only change form.
#2. Everything and everyone is connected to the same energy source. What appears to many separate or individual forms are actually one at a molecular level. This concept is approached scientifically as "quantum physics"
So, what does this have to with me and what are you trying to say is what I am sure you are wondering. Allow me to explain in more detail. Before attempting to work on something you must first know how it operates. Given that we are all composed of energy, an understanding of how energy operates would be helpful. An understanding of your own energy and universal energy can make personal development much easier and productive. There are many tools for working with energy and many names for them. However, without understanding that everything is energy and it's all tied in as one, those tools would provide much more frustration than results.
Now, let's look at what energy is and how it operates.
#1. Protons: these particles are charged in an outward moving flow. On a human level, that outward flowing energy would take form as thoughts, ideas, inspirations and those types of things.
#2. Electrons: these particles pull or draw in the out ward flowing electrons. Emotions, desires, feeling and intuition would be examples of that type of human energy.
#3. Neutrons: These particles have no charge of their own but are required to bond the protons and electrons to create a form. The human body and all forms created from energy are examples of the role they serve in creation.
So "you" are a blend of a different types of energy constantly flowing and working together. Understanding of that is very important in working on personal development. I know by now you are probably thinking, "ok...get to the golden nugget that will get me where I want to go" by now. The reason I am sharing this information way that I am is from personal experience. I have gotten many chickens and many eggs and it took me forever to make an omelet if you know what I mean! Patience is required here, to be successful, you must go in steps in the correct order.
Let me share with you a little background information on how I learned how to play guitar. When I started out in my teens I learned a few things here and there and by the time I was 18 I could play a whole 2 songs! I wanted to get better at it, so I decided to pursue it. I went out and spent a lot of money on a great guitar, and a wonderful amplifier, and knew how to play 3 songs by that point. By the time I was 20 I knew how to play 5 songs and thought I was great. One day I found a bar that had an open jam night so I decided to take my high dollar equipment and show everybody how great I was. I made a total a** of myself in front of the whole crowd that night. That experience lead me to learning it step by step in the correct order. I soon learned that songs were played in "keys" and what chords were in each key. Then I learned all the chords and where they were and began to learn how to play lead in key. By the time I was 22, I was jamming like BB King at blues night and I have been working at developing my skills ever since. Looking back on it, I wished I had learned it step by step but we all make mistakes and learn. So, now when I teach anything I use that approach and many people have found it to be very valuable.
So, we are getting to the tools and how to use them. If you feel comfortable here, feel free to move on. If you wish to stop and take it all in, that's fine too. Some of this stuff is kinda heavy and needs some time to make sense. My advice here is to take your time and if you get frustrated, just stop for a while and come back to it later. Next post I will cover some tools and techniques for working with energy.
