Now, so you want to get start in your journey of personal development. So where do we start? Where do we begin? First, we must cover a few topics that crucial to developing as a person.
#1. NO self judgment
We all make mistakes, its simply how evolution goes. Everybody has had something that didn't turn out right or didn't go as planned. When you recognize that you made a mistake, don't beat yourself up over it. Just accept that it's all part of a learning curve. Learn from the mistake and move on.
#2. End the blame game.
As with all situations some can be frustrating and some may not have produced the optimal results. When getting undesired results, it is counter productive to cast blame. Putting blame on the government and this person and that person does nothing but create a viscous cycle of victim hood. If you have produced an undesirable outcome, accept it, and take the action necessary to change it.
#3. This is about you.
All of this work is strictly based on the individual. Everything in your life that you assess is all a product of choices you have made and action you have taken. It's all subject to change, so there is no need to deny or avoid anything. The good, the bad, the ugly, it's all you. If you have made a mess, oh well, you can make something great out a mess with a little bit of know how and effort. This type of work requires taking full responsibility for yourself. That (as said above) DOES NOT mean blame yourself and beat yourself up. It just means accept the choices and actions you have taken, and make different ones.
#4. The point, is to honestly feel good
Every aspect of your life is determined by the choices you make in any given moment. To begin work on development, it's crucial to be in a good or neutral mood before beginning. I.E., If your significant other left you before you went to work, your boss made you mad, and you got 3 flat tires driving home dodging a tornado, this is NOT the time to approach the subject. As previously stated, everything is determined your choices and actions. If you aren't having a good day or you're not in a good mood, it's up to you to do something about it. Detailed information and practices on that subject are available here.
#5. Assess your current situation
Make a list of everything going on in your life right now. The things you like, the things you don't,
and things you want to work on. Maybe you want more money, maybe you have money and no friends, the list could be endless but it's important to be honest with yourself here. This will be the baseline to being learning and changing and creating whatever aspects of life that you may wish.
A solid understanding of these 5 things will set you up for success with personal development. Take as much time as needed to just work through these things and put them in practice. Personal development is a lot like demolishing a structure and constructing a new one on the same piece of ground. It's not "overnight" work. To do this kind of work requires dedication, honesty, and a lot of courage. So, take as much time and needed and go as fast or slow as you feel is right for you.

Personal Development For Beginners
So what exactly is personal development and why should anyone want to pursue it? Personal development is meant to further one's intellectual knowledge as well as learn new and better ways of doing things. The point of personal development is to learn ways to reach your full potential, live your life purpose, inspire people around you, and make life interesting.
In the realm of personal development, we are learning about the tools that are available for our use as humans as well as how to use them. The book and DVD "The Secret" has given world wide exposure to the concept of the law of attraction. Other terms such as "Conscious Creation" and "Intention Manifestation" have also been gaining exposure as useful tools to better one's life. As to the definition an use of these tools, I will be covering them in depth with as many resources as I can make available. I will share my personal experiences, useful experiments, and many of my practical applications as I continue the blog.
More or less, If you question society and how things really work, personal development is for you. If you have an open mind and like to consider new ideas I encourage you to take a few leaps of faith and try some new things out. Every individual knows what is right for them and some people are comfortable and happy with the 9 to 5 grind and things just as they are. There are others who wish to explore the realms of possibilities and discover new things. Personal development is an individual choice and can be pursued as much or as little as one wishes. At times it can be hard work, and at other times it can be a lot of fun. The basis of the concept is focused on challenging what you know, finding what you believe to be right, and living life with powerful choices.
